Run Like it's Recess - Aurora Race Description

Valley Christian Academy invites you to Run Like It’s Recess in their 4th annual 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk and 50 Yard Toddler Dash!  

Think back to your school days when the bell rang, signaling recess and the freedom to play, skip, climb, swing and run! Come out on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and run like it’s recess again! Proceeds will help fund many activities and improvements to VCA, a non-profit K-8 school serving Aurora since 1979.

This event is designed for the everyone as all fitness levels are welcome.  Bring the whole family and join us in the Run Like it's Recess community event. Choose from the 5K or the one mile fun run/walk. Register your tot for the toddler dash! Enjoy a fun morning at the beautiful campus of Valley Christian Academy as we cheer on our runners and enjoy free refreshments post race activities.

 

START and FINISH at Valley Christian Academy 1037 East Blvd.  Aurora

One Mile Fun Run will begin at 8:15 AM

5K race will start at 8:45

Toddler Dash to follow!

 

Early registrants are guaranteed a long sleeved, performance race shirt and a goodie bag

In addition, 5K racers will receive awards in the following categories:

Top overall male and female finisher 

Top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories:

10 and under, 11-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-59, 60 and above  

 

Top three overall male and female finishers in the one mile race will receive awards. All one mile and toddler dash participants will receive a participation award.  

 

* Race shirt, bibs/chips and packet pick up will be on April 27 at VCA from 2:00-4:00

* Race day registration will be available at 7:15 AM

 

TIMING

5k chips and one mile chip timers 



VCA ONLINE AUCTION will open on race day! Please note that new items will be added over the next two weeks until the auction closes on May 12th!
