Run For Rhys Race Description
Brandon Rhys Mechling was born February 18th, 2016 with four rare heart defects. At only 3 weeks old, Rhys underwent his first open heart surgery, which was successful. Rhys was such a fighter and had many prayer warriors pulling for him the whole time. On April 5 Rhys' organs began to shut down unexplainably. Brandon Rhys Mechling went to be with the Lord on April 6th after fighting hard for almost 7 weeks. We are celebrating the short time we had with Rhys by gathering on June 4th for a 5K run/walk. We hope to alleviate some of the financial burden by donating all the proceeds to the Mechling family for funeral expenses.
