Miracle on Erie Street Race Description

During the first week of December, the community of Downtown Willoughby takes part in the three-day Miracle of Erie Street (MOES) festival. This year, festivities commence on Thursday, December 1 with the Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting. Throughout the weekend, the opportunities to celebrate Downtown Willoughby and the fast-approaching holiday season are nearly unlimited and include a winter market, Breakfast with Santa, ice carvings, live reindeer, and the much-anticipated Santa Bar Blast.

Due to its growing popularity and focus on community outreach and development, the MOES celebration has also begun to focus on raising funds for Community Grants. Community Grants aid Willoughby and Lake County nonprofits with monetary grants to support projects that will improve Willoughby or provide outreach throughout Lake County (for more information or to apply for a Community Grant, please visit www.miracleoneriestreet.com).

With the addition of Community Grants to MOES, as well as the growing popularity of the event itself, the MOES coordinating team added the Miracle on Erie Street 5K to the event line-up last year. The MOES 5K is a great opportunity to not only get outside for a pre-holiday run (or walk!), but it is also a way to support the MOES Community Grants project.

Besides being a enjoyable winter race that supports a great cause (actually, lots of causes!), the MOES 5K will include many other perks, like a long sleeve race shirt, a post-race party at Willoughby Brewing Co. and a few additional surprises! Sign up now and get a discounted rate to run (or walk!) in this fun holiday 5K! A course preview is being held on Saturday, October 22 at 3:00 p.m. following Willo-Boo--bring the whole family and check out the MOES 5K Race Course!

Check out www.miracleoneriestreet.com for more details on the MOES 5K, Community Grants, and all of the MOES events!
