Loop the Lakes Race Description
About This Activity
Support the Vernon Hills Park District Scholarship Program by signing up for our annual Loop the Lakes 5K Run/Walk. The course winds through picturesque Century Park, one of Lake County's most beautiful community parks. Runners and walkers can enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of nature as they loop around Big Bear and Little Bear Lakes. This course does have small hills and inclines around the southernmost loop.
Event details and schedule
Packet pick-up will be on-site prior to the start of the race. You may pick up your packet starting at 7:45am on race day. Parking is available at Century Park North Pavilion as well as the Park Maintenance Facility next door. Additional parking can be found at Century Park ball fields located off of Lakeview Parkway right before the tracks. Snacks and water will be provided following the event. Awards are given to best overall male and female as well as 1st and 2nd place for the following age categories- 17 & under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & up. T-shirt sizes are only guaranteed for those participants that sign up before April 8, 2017. Be sure to sign up today to ensure you receive the correct shirt size!
