Cory's Gift Run/Walk for Organ Donation Race Description
Cory was 19 years old when he passed away on May 7th, 2011 after a tragic car accident. He became a hero that day, saving four beautiful lives through organ donation. Our family has been fortunate to meet all four recipients and their families, and we have seen first hand how their lives were changed. Cory's donation was not only a gift to his recipients, but to those he left behind as well. His gift to us was HOPE - in knowing that he did not die in vain and that others would be saved from the heartache that we feel over his loss. Please join us celebrating Cory's Gift and in raising awareness of organ donation!
What: 5K Run or 1.5 Mile Walk
Date: July 28th, 2018
Time: Run begins at 10:30, Walk at 10:35
Where: American Legion Post 271 - Poynette, WI
Proceeds will be split four ways - Poynette/Dekorra EMS & FD, Scholarship for local student, Restoring Hope Transplant House (Middleton), UW Organ & Tissue Donation Organization (Madison)
