Fun run that could be much better
Overall a fun 5k that could be much better. First ... Don't run out of shirts. It's a non starter for a lot of runners. Other observations: the start line wasn't clearly delineated and was not a chip start. For heavens sake give the race starter a sound system. Please instruct walkers to stay right and start at the rear of the pack. The course is dark and full of puddles and people. Volunteers keeping walkers focused would really help. The course was super flooded, but we didn't see any effort to remove the water until after the race. We did not see one police officer or EMT/ambulance on site. The race worker in the course on the unlit bicycle was an accident waiting to happen. The race timers were very helpful, but the chip finish failed for one member of my group. No backup system. Lots of frustrations.
