The Martin Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their 4th Annual 5k Blazing Road Race in conjunction with their Martin Day event on Saturday, March 25, 2017. The raceway will begin at the 4-way stop in Downtown Martin, MS. Racers will proceed down Collinsville-Martin Road turning right onto Hand Road. They will continue down Hand Road to Wildcat Road where they will take another right. Participants will proceed down Wildcat Road until turning right on Newton County Martin Road. They will travel up and down a few hills and cross the finish line back in front of the Fire Station! There will be race awards for the fastest participants.
This event will also include their famous BBQ and fried chicken plates, a raffle for some great prizes, several door prizes, a craft fair, bounce houses for the kids, a bake sale, and much more! Donations accepted to Martin Volunteer Fire Department - Proceeds from the event will go to support the Martin VFD.
