Major Taylor Trail Riverfront Improvement Project Celebration Race Description
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 21, 2018 at Whistler Woods at 8am that will unveil the new mural on the Little Calumet River bridge. The ceremony will honor the 10-year anniversary of the Major Taylor Trail and the Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago and the 5-year anniversary for Women RUN the World. There will be a 5k walk/run and a 16.2 mile Duathlon sponsored in partnership with Women RUN The World, Major Taylor Cycling Club Chicago, and Friends of the Major Taylor Trail immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
