Light It Up Blue 5k for Autism Awareness Race Description
Join us on April 7th, 2018 to raise money for Autism Awareness at Central Michigan University! Run or walk with us at our Light It Up Blue Autism Awareness 5k. Rain or Shine all ages are welcome for our course. The event will start at 9:30 (registration begins at 9:00am), and ends at 1:30pm. Registration is $9.99 for adults and children. Same-Day registration is available for $15! The event is presented by CMU's department of Communication Sciences and Disorders--Speech-Language and Hearing Club. Our organization proceeds will benefit CMU's very own Summer Specialty Clinic (SSC)! ALL money will be donated to help send children to SSC, where many students who attend the summer camp are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Excellent job! We had fun and enjoyed seeing everyone celebrating ASD. It worked well with all your volunteers all taking on a task. Well done!
I was so excited to see this event, and I’d love to have it continue in future years! I thought you all did a fantastic job running the race, especially since it was the first year! Being a CMU alumni, I would love for the race to run more through campus. It also might be nice to have the route in areas where there are wider sidewalks if possible. There were some areas that were a tight squeeze for multiple runners to run through. Thanks for a great opportunity!
