Labor of Love Marathon at Lovell Canyon Race Description

Celebrating 10 years in 2017! Come experience the natural side of Las Vegas Commencing at an elevation of roughly 4500 feet, runners will encounter high desert vegetation to include Joshua Trees, Pinion-Juniper, Mountain Rose, Sagebrush, and a relatively lush Toiyabe National Forest not commonly associated with Las Vegas. The road twists and turns thru the canyon a true treasure of the Spring Mountains N.R.A. This relatively unknown gem in the desert is to the west of Red Rock Canyon and south of Mt. Charleston.

Runners should be a community.

Signed up my wife and myself for a race nearly across the country. Hurricane Florence hit 3 days before we were supposed to arrive in Las Vegas. The hotel, rental car company, airline were ALL very understanding and let us rebook with NO additional fees. My last call was to Calico racing. I explained the horrible disaster we were facing. I was told, basically, “sorry, I cannot suffer my personal finances to help you”. .Will/would NEVER run a race with Calico racing, nor will I recommend.
