Hello Spring Goodbye Yeti Race Description

Each year the Western Runners Club welcomes spring with a symbolic chasing away of the mythic abominable snowman of the Himalayas: the yeti.

The Kids Half Mile will start at 8:45 a.m. near the eastern village limits on Michigan Avenue, and the 5k will start at 9:15 a.m. at the west end of railroad street. Both will finish on Main Street near the library.

Registration cost is $25 for the 5k and includes a tee shirt (while supplies last). Pre-register online by Thursday, March 19, and receive a $5 discount. Kids run free in the half mile. Check in and registration starts at 7:30 a.m.

A good fun run 5k

Loads of fun to be had at this event. Flat road course with just a few turns and a mile-long straightaway to finish. Not too crowded, but with a big family/community energy.
