Join Out of the Dark as we hold our 2nd annual Heel 2 Heal 5k Run/Walk to bring awareness and life-changing services to survivors of domestic violence. Our mission is to help women heal from abuse and become who they were created to be by supporting the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. This is a fun and empowering fundraising event that brings together runners, friends, and supporters for an impactful spring day to run, walk, or donate to help victims who have been affected by domestic violence and to support our programs and services for families throughout DuPage, Kane, and Cook counties. All money raised at the Heel 2 Heal 5K helps us continue to provide our services to families suffering from the effects of domestic violence and other destructive relationship trauma and abuse. We also strive to promote awareness of the impact and consequences of violence in our communities. Out of the Dark is a unique provider of comprehensive programs and services to local victims built on a faith-based foundation. We are transforming lives after domestic abuse and educating the community about how we all can work toward ending it and preventing it.
