Gullah Geechee Fun Run Race Description

Gullah Geechee Fun Run 

The Gullah Geechee Fun Run will take place during the Gullah Geechee Festival on Saturday, August 30, 2025.  

RACE DATE:  Saturday, August 30th, 2025

RACE SCHEDULE:

7:30 AM – 8:00 AM - Pre-race activities (i.e., registration, t-shirt distribution, light refreshments, warm-up, etc.)

8:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Fun Run

The Gullah Geechee Fun Run welcomes participants and families of all levels and encourages runners/ walkers/ strollers to enjoy the history, scenery, and ocean breeze waiting to greet you at the finish line.  Your 4-legged family members are also welcomed. 

The early bird cost is $25 before August 2.  The cost will be $35 after this date including race day.

All Participants will receive a Gullah Geechee Fun Run t-shirt. 

Participants who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive a medal. 

RACE COURSE: 

·         Begin at 30th Avenue cul-de-sac and head South to 32nd Avenue

·         Turn right onto 32nd Avenue toward highway 17

·         Cross US Highway 17 and turn right onto 4th Street

·         Turn right onto 29th Avenue going East

·         Turn right onto Seaview Avenue going South

·         Turn right onto 30th Avenue going West

·         Turn left onto 3rd Avenue going South

·         Turn left onto 31st Avenue going East

·         Turn left onto Seaview going North

·         Make right on Ocean Boulevard back to the cul-de-sac

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION RATE:  $25/pp through AUGUST 2, 2025 

REGULAR REGISTRATION RATE:  $35/pp starting AUGUST 3, 2025

RACE SWAG:

  • Participant T-Shirt

  • Medals for race winners (1ST, 2ND & 3RD PLACE)
