Texas Marathons
- New Years Double Marathon – End last year and start the new year with running. Opt for a marathon, half marathon, or 5K at this race in Allen, TX.
- Texas Marathon – Kick off the new year at this Kingwood race. Choose either to run a marathon or half marathon.
- Houston Marathon – Run through Houston in January. You can opt for a marathon, half marathon, or 5K distance.
- McAllen Marathon – Opt for a marathon, marathon relay, half marathon, 10K, or 5K at this January race.
- Cowtown Marathon – Run through Fort Worth in February, competing in an ultra marathon, marathon, half marathon, 10K, or 5K. There’s also a kids 5K, which makes this race fun for the whole family.
- Austin Marathon – Enjoy a February run through Austin. If a marathon isn’t your speed, you can opt for a half marathon or a 5K.
- El Paso Marathon – Run around El Paso at this February marathon. You can opt instead to run a half marathon or 5K. There’s also a kids dash to make the event fun for the whole family.
- Galveston Marathon – Also in February, you can run along the Gulf Coast in Galveston. Choose from several distances including a marathon, half marathon, and 5K.

- Seabrook Lucky Trails – Run through Seabrook in March. Choose either a marathon or a half marathon.

- Border to Badlands Ultra – Run through Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site at this March race. Select from several distances, including 50-mile, 50K, marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K.
- Run the Alamo – At this March race, you can run a marathon or a half marathon. Alternatively, you can opt for the Donut Dash and run either a 10K or a 5K.
- Grasslands Trail Run – Also in March, you can enjoy running through the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands. Opt for a 100-mile, 50-mile, marathon, half marathon, or 15K distance.
- Texas Triple – Challenge yourself with three marathons over three days around Bachman Lake in May. You can opt for a half marathon instead of a full marathon.
- Six-O Trail Run – Run a 50K, marathon, half marathon, or 6-mile distance in Cleburne, Texas at this August run.
- Marathon2Marathon – Enjoy this October marathon in Marathon, Texas. You can opt for a half marathon, 10K, or 5K instead.
- Lubbock Marathon – In Lubbock, you can run a marathon, half marathon, 10K, or 5K at this October race. There’s a kids run, too.
- Fort Worth Marathon – Run through Fort Worth in November. Choose the marathon, marathon relay, 20-mile race, half marathon, or 5K.
- The Barrier Island Ultra – Run on Mustang Island at this November race. Choose from several distances, including 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, 50K, and 50 miles.

Texas Half Marathons
- River Road Run Half Marathon – Run along the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas at this January race.
- Austin International Half – Cross the finish line by the Texas Capitol Building at this January half marathon.
- Honor the Fallen Half Marathon – Run this September race at the Grand Prairie. In addition to a half marathon, this race also offers a 10K and a 5K.
- Pumpkin Spice Half Marathon – Celebrate fall by running along Trinity River in Fort Worth at this November race. You can opt for a half marathon, 10K, or 5K.
- Dallas Running Club’s The Half – Run around White Rock Lake at this November half marathon. Or, opt for the 5K instead.
- La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon – Run across the impressive Fred Hartman Bridge over Galveston Bay in November.
- Spicewood Vineyards Half Marathon – Run through scenic farmland and tackle challenging hills at this December race.
Texas Turkey Trots
- San Antonio Turkey Trot – Run or walk in a 5K supporting the San Antonio Food Bank.
- Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot – Do a 5K, 8-mile run, or a fun run at this dog-friendly race that’s been a Dallas tradition for half a century.
- Irving Turkey Trot – Run a 5K or 8-mile race.
- Plano Turkey Trot – Run or walk a 5K.
- Chisholm Trail Turkey Trot – Run or walk 1 mile or do a 5K at Lockhart State Park.
- Bay Area Turkey Trot – run through Clear Lake neighborhoods; kids 1K; 5K walk or run; 10K run
Texas Clubs & Race Series
- Dallas Running Club – With its beginnings in 1969, the Dallas running club connects runners and organizes several races throughout the year.
- Texas Running Club – Organized at UT Austin, you can enjoy several weekly runs with this club.
- Austin Runners Club – Enjoy weekly training or social runs in Austin. This running club also puts on several races throughout the year.
- West Texas Running Club – Founded in Brownfield, Texas during the ‘70s, this running club organizes several races throughout the year.
- Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association – This association organizes bike races across Texas.
- Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association (DORBA) – Supports mountain biking in North Texas and organizes competitive and noncompetitive events.
- Fort Worth Bicycling Association – Participate in weekly group rides and special events.
- Fort Worth Mountain Bikers Association – Focused on building and maintaining sustainable mountain bike trails in Fort Worth, this association organizes group rides and events.
Texas Bike Races
- Beast of the Backroads – Bike or run through a private ranch in Longview, Texas in March. Choose from 103 miles, 65 miles, or 26 miles on bike or do a 10M run. This race also offers a 5K run with a 10M ruck option.
- Easter Bike Tour – Experience Texas Hill Country at this ride in Kerrville and Fredricksburg, Texas. Opt to participate for one, two, or three days at this April bike tour.
- Hotter’n Hell Hundred – Tackle a hot challenge in Wichita Falls. Ride 100 miles in 100 degree heat over this multi-day race in August.
- Ride to Remember - Poth – Ride a bike, run, or walk to support Alzheimer’s research. Bike 12 miles, 22 miles, 44 miles, or 66 miles. If you opt to walk or run, it’s a 5K.
- Rock-N-Ride Cleveland – Choose between a 52 mile or 28 mile distance at this November race. You can participate as an individual, with a team, or ride a tandem bicycle.
