Dragon Obstacle Course Race

Dragon Obstacle Course Race event will have multiple race options to choose from (OPEN 5k, OPEN 3k, and 2-hour Endurance Challenge) Dragon OCR distance will vary depending on the wave selected with 20+ obstacles. The June 10-11th, 2023 event will be near the beach and Wilmington, NC at Humphrey Farms 5899 NC Hwy 53 West Burgaw, NC 28425. This location is super unique as you'll overcome obstacles through an active farm environment and rugged forest terrain, creeks and more.

Our focus at DragonOCR is to make the most unique, challenging, and fun obstacle race where athletes of all ages and types and especially entire families can join together to connect and grow themselves out in the great outdoors. 

Every Dragon OCR race will have the following:

Race Options for June 10th, 2023

• Open 5k race with 25+ obstacles
• Open 5k race with 25+ obstacles (multiple laps)
• Endurance Challenge 3.1 mile race with 20+ obstacles and multiple Endurance Challenges throughout (2-hour duration)
• Open 3k race with 15+ obstacles

Race Breakdowns

Open 5K & Open 5K (multiple lap) Option: 

This is our premier event! If you want a challenging race that includes rugged terrain and technical obstacles all in a rural farm environment, this one is for you! 

This race will offer the following: 

• 5k Distance 
• 20+ obstacles 

Open 3k

This fun but challenging course will allow beginners to the OCR world and youth racers to tackle an OCR event that will support them if it is their first race and challenge them if this is not their first rodeo. In either case, all kids will leave with a sense of accomplishment after tackling a mile course with 10+ obstacles with their adult chaperone. Each youth racer will need an adult to be registered and run/be present with them on the course. This is for their safety and to help you create long-lasting memories of a challenge you both completed together. 

 

2-Hour Endurance Challenge

It begins at 8 pm and lasts approximately 2-hours.  Please arrive at least 30 minutes early.  You must have a headlamp!   The Endurance test has individual and team challenges. You will have various physical challenges, climbing obstacles, and various heavy carries; you will be tested.  Sign up if you are up for the challenge and ready to test yourself!
