Dino Dash- Dinah Soar Days

All are encouraged to run the Dino Dash and be involved in setting the Guinness World Record for most Dinos in one place! (It's going to happen this year! And will be an easier and shorter process.) This can be done for FREE! However, if you want the custom medal, swag bag and to be entered to win prizes, register for just $10!

Calling all the dinosaurs! Fun annual Dino Dash celebrating Dinah Soar Hot Air Balloon Days!

Dino Dash August 28th. 7:30 pm! 

-Race starts at Main Street and 100 W. Check in @ 6:30pm-7:15pm (Grand Valley Bank). Medals will be given to all registered participants BEFORE the dash so make sure to check in! 

-TO BE CONSIDERED FOR BEST COSTUME AND PRIZES- be at the starting line at 7:15 pm.  Race starts @ 7:30pm (run less than .5 of a mile) down Main Street.

-Live band!  Dress like a dinosaur! All ages encouraged to participate! How many dinosaurs can we get?! 

-IF YOU ARE A PARENT RUNNING WITH A YOUNGER CHILD, PLEASE STILL HAVE SOME KIND OF DINO COSTUME ON. WE WOULD LIKE EVERYONE IN THE DASH TO BE A DINOSAUR! 

-Best costume wins a hot air balloon ride for 2. Other prizes given for top dino costumes, adults and youth.  Awesome custom race medal of Dinah, the Vernal icon!

-Help Vernal beat the Guiness World Record of people in a dino costume in one place! New plans this year to make this a quick and smooth process!

Join us on August 28th, 2026 at 7:30 PM (or for runners, immediately following the race) in front of LampLighter Inn on Main Street as Uintah County attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as dinosaurs in one place! 

The number to beat: 600 dinos

FREE to join — just show up in a full head-to-toe dinosaur costume!
