Dia De Los Muertos 5K Color Run Race Description
We invite our neighboring towns and cities to come and have some colorful fun for Dia de los Muertos. The Town of San Luis will adhere to CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines. Lets get out and get some fresh air. Enjoy a beautiful view of mountains and Culebra Creek all while getting dirty.
Dia de los Muertos is a celebration to honor the lives of loved ones who have passed. Familias (families) create ofrendas (alters) with loves ones' pictures, favorite foods and drinks on the days of Nov 1st to Nov 2nd. Ofrendas are also decorated with calaveras (skulls), papel picado, and the traditional Mexican Cempasúchil flower also known as the marigold.
This event will be full of color and fun, so be prepared to get messy and have the time of your life! Costumes welcome. Come Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos.
Everyone is welcome to attend. There are no age restrictions.
After the run there will be an area to get the dust blown off of you!
