Cohoes Turkey Trot Race Reviews

For those who haven't visited Cohoes, the drive to the city, and then the race are a great opportunity to expose visitors to what the city has to offer. The start goes through the city center, then winds it's way back & forth up short hills to a beautiful bike path. Several years ago, a light dusting of snow or frozen fog on the trees just glistened beautifully with the sun. Upon leaving the bike path, you reach the peak of the route with less than 1.5 miles, all down hill, to go. As you come down to Mohawk Street, you can see the beautiful Cohoes falls, then you go by the hydroelectric plant. As you continue, you see where Mohawk St. turns away from the river. This is such a great approach to the finish. This race was especially exciting for me this year at the end because another runner challenged me in a sprint finish to the banner by city hall.
