(race date estimated)Cinco K Race Description
Walk, jog or run for a great cause!
Make a difference for victims of domestic violence.
Our 5K will be on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1pm and online registration will close on Thursday, May 4th at 1pm. You may also register in-person the day of the race, but pricing will increase the day of the race.
This year, our 5K will be hybrid, which means you can join us in person or virtually.
If you choose to join us in person, the race will happen rain or shine and will start at 1pm on the bike path by the Presbyterian Church in Rochelle at: 1100 Calvin Rd, Rochelle, IL 61068.
If you choose the virtual 5K, you will still do it the same day but you can complete it anywhere, at a gym or at home or outdoors. You can use a fitness tracker, an app on your phone, or any method you prefer to track the distance you're walking or running. We won't ask you for proof, so this would be mostly for you, but you can share it with us via social media, on facebook, twitter, or flickr.
After your 5K run or walk, you have the option to upload a photo of your results through the RaceEntry dashboard. This is entirely optional.
Want a t-shirt?
To guarantee you will get a t-shirt, register online by Wednesday, April 19th and select a registration option that includes a t-shirt.
We may have t-shirts available the day of the race, but that won't be guaranteed.
Can't participate in the 5K but want to help us fundraise?
Like other years, all are welcome to create a fundraiser or make a donation of any size to HOPE through our Cinco K fundraising page.
Cinco K is HOPE of Ogle County's only annual fundraiser. Our 5K is called Cinco K because it happens during the week of Cinco de Mayo. All proceeds go to support HOPE of Ogle County, a domestic violence agency and shelter, and the life changing services that we provide to adults, teens and children throughout the county.
HOPE of Ogle County provides shelter services, counseling services for adults, teens and children, court advocacy, and advocacy for Latino/Hispanic survivors. All our services are free of charge.
Help us spread the word about Cinco K!
Encourage everyone you know to register for our virtual 5K, fundraise or donate! You can post about it on all your social media accounts. You can also share our posts on twitter and Facebook. Please use the hashtags #CincoK2023 and #WalkBold.
We appreciate your continued support of our life-saving services for adult and child victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

Inspirational and Fun Race
This race opened my eyes to the little things us citizens can do, that have the biggest impact on victims of domestic violence in our area. A fun event with food, music, and more. Definitely plan to attend in future years :) the only reason I haven't yet is because I have been out of town the past few years when the date rolls around! Go Cinco K and HOPE of Ogle County! Keep up your amazing and unique work.
