Tempo Run Timing & Events is pleased to co-host, along with the North Township Trustee's Office, the 3rd Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 5K at Wicker Memorial Park in Highland, Indiana. 

Tempo Run Timing & Events is dedicated to continuing to expand the running community in Northwest Indiana with unique and memorable events. Our mission is to sponsor, host, and direct fun, interactive events while making lasting memories for both runners and walkers alike.

Fiesta 5k

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta 5k includes: 

• DJ from 11:00 am-12:00 pm to get you ready to run!
• - Official Fiesta 5k 2024 T-shirt, Custom event "koozie" can cooler  
• - Multiple pull tabs on the bottom of your bib, redeemable for different items and raffles!
• - 1 Free Beer (21+)/Beverage provided by Dining Solutions by Wicker Park in the Social Center after the race!
• - 1 free Raffle entry (additional entries can be purchased on site)
• - Food! We'll have a hot meal for you after the race. Free for all participants (Family and friends are welcome to eat for a $10 cash contribution per person)
• - Prizes for Overall Male/Female and Masters M/F
• - Awards for Top 3 M/F in each Age Group!  (8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-80, 80+)

This race will be professionally timed by Tempo Run Timing. Results will be available on the website shortly after the finish

Lit'l Churro Run 1k (ages 4-12)

Lit'l Churro Run includes: 

• DJ from 11:00 am-11:30 am to get you ready to run!
• - Official Lit'l Churro Run 2024 T-shirt 
• - Multiple pull tabs on the bottom of your bib, redeemable for different items and raffles!
• - 1 free Churro hot and ready, waiting for you at the finish line!
• - 1 free Raffle entry (additional entries can be purchased on site)
• - Food! We'll have a hot meal for you after the race. Free for all participants (Family and friends are welcome to eat for a $10 cash contribution per person)
• - This is a fun run and will not be timed

0.0 Mile "Run"

Not much of a runner? We got just the thing for you! All the fun, without the run

Grab your race bib, toe the starting line, then skip right to the best part... the after party!

Cinco de Mayo 0.0 Mile "Run" includes: 

• DJ starting at 11:00 am to get you ready to (not) run!
• - A unique start/finish line experience like no other race 
• - "0.0" magnet for your car (or wherever you'd like to proudly display your achievement)
• - Fiesta 5k custom event "koozie" can cooler  
• - Multiple pull tabs on the bottom of your bib, redeemable for different items and raffles!
• - 1 Free Beer (21+)/Beverage provided by Dining Solutions by Wicker Park in the Social Center after the race!
• - 1 free Raffle entry (additional entries can be purchased on site)
• - Food! We'll have a hot meal for you after the race. Free for all participants
• - Prizes for Top 3 Overall M/F (chosen at random)

EARLY PACKET PICKUP

WHEN: Friday May 3rd, 4pm-6pm

WHERE: Fleet Feet - Schererville 635 US-30, Schererville, IN 46375

SCHEDULE FOR EVENT DAY

10:45 am - 11:45 am: Race day registration + in-person packet pick-up

11:30 am: Lit'l Churro Run (1k for ages 4-12)

11:50 am: 0.0 Mile "Run"

12:00 pm: 5k Run/Walk

Post Race Fiesta: Music and Food/Drinks inside the Social Center

All participants will receive:

• Swag Bag
• - Custom Race Bib
• - *Fiesta 5K "koozie" Can Cooler (5k and 0.0M participants only)
• - *Race day T-shirt (5k & 1k participants only)

Kids are welcome to participate in the 5k if they can handle the distance!

REGISTER BY APRIL 19TH TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT (limited quantities and sizes after that)
