Cheyenne Firecracker 5K/10K Race Description
Join us for the 10th Annual Firecracker 5k/10k Race on America's 250th Birthday! The Firecracker 5k/10k benefits Needs Inc. Food Pantry, the largest hunger-relief agency serving Laramie County.
The race starts at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza. Enjoy your surroundings as you run on the Cheyenne Greenway. Wave to volunteers by the Needs Inc. Food Pantry before running up the Central Avenue Viaduct. Finish strong back at the Depot Plaza and recover with snacks.
Get ready for the Cheyenne Firecracker 5K/10K

Would be nice if the race could start at 7 for the 10-k would be a bit cooler. It’s so hot at 8 am. Nice race overall also would be nice to have watermelon afterwards at the finish. And have the star spangled banner song sang at the beginning of the race.
