ChapTer 21 Buddy Walk, Festival, and 5K

Join ChapTer 21 as we unite for a common cause and raise funds at the 2017 ChapTer 21 Buddy Walk®, Festival, and 5K. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and donate or register today! Help us spread the word; all are welcome for our day of celebration!

The second Annual ChapTer 21 Buddy Walk®, Festival, and 5K will be held on October 7, 2017.  The event will be held at Riverside Park located next to Riverside Elementary on the corner of Riverside Drive and Golden Avenue in Battle Creek, MI. The start time for the 5K and Buddy Walk® will be at 10:00 AM.  The Festival will begin immediately after finishing your walk or run.  Start a team and help raise money!  The 5K will have professional timing provided by RF Event Services (http://rfeventservices.com/).

The ChapTer 21 Buddy Walk®, Festival, and 5K is intended to be the major, annual fundraising event for ChapTer 21, LLC. All money raised will stay within the nonprofit organization and will go towards various activities and programs for our local Down syndrome community located in Calhoun, Kalamazoo, and surrounding counties.

This event is open to the public. The 5K and the 1 Mile awareness walk (one lap around the Riverside Park walking path) will begin at 10:00 a.m. Gates will open and the festival fun begins as soon as you are done with your event. Activities will include raffles, silent auctions, bounce houses and slides, games, music, and much more!

Costume judging will take place at the main stage located within the Festival area at 9:30 AM. This year’s theme is your favorite superhero.
