Against the Tide-- Swim, Run, or Walk to Prevent Breast Cancer Cape Cod

Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) invites you to join us for Against the Tide to swim, run, or walk to support breast cancer prevention.  The event on June 14th, our 33rd year at this location, will take place at DCR’s Hopkinton State Park in Hopkinton, MA.  The following week on June 21st, another Against the Tide, our 26th on Cape Cod, will be held at DCR’s Nickerson State Park in Brewster, MA.

In-person events include USATF-Course-Certified 5K and 10K runs, USMS-Sanctioned 1-mile swim, 1-mile recreational and competitive swims, ½-mile recreational swim, and a 3-mile fitness walk. 

Unable to join us in person?  Participate in Against the Tide virtually between June 14th and 21st.  Events include 1-mile recreational and competitive swims, ½-mile recreational swim, 5K and 10K runs, and a 3-mile fitness walk. 

Against the Tide is family-friendly, and can be enjoyed by adults and children of all ages and abilities.  To register, create or join a team, and to donate, go to mbcc.org/against-the-tide.  The in-person registration fee is $40 per participant per event.  The virtual registration fee is $20 per person for one or multiple events. 

Against the Tide is a major fundraising event for Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition whose mission is to prevent breast cancer by identifying and eliminating toxic cancer-causing chemicals from the places where we and our children live, work, and play.  Community education materials and webinars are available online free of charge, made possible by fundraising events and generous donors.
