Experience the exhilaration and make a meaningful impact by joining us at Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center of Chesapeake's 2nd Annual "GNOME One Walks Alone" 5k Run/Walk! On Sunday, April 28th, 2024, Oak Grove Lake Park will come alive with our highly anticipated 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Children's Mental Health Awareness/Acceptance.

Race Day is Sunday, April 28th at Oak Grove Lake Park

 Check-In will begin at 8:00am

5K Run/Walk will begin at 9:00am

Awards will be distributed at 11:15am

Prepare to be part of something extraordinary as we proudly present our second annual "GNOME One Walks Alone" 5k Run/Walk a title that symbolizes the unity and support we offer children and adults in their courageous battle for mental health awareness and acceptance.

 Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center is leading the charge in "Kicking Anxiety With Creativity"! We are a dynamic nonprofit organization, founded by a young visionary who believes in the power of creativity to activate healing, spark creativity, foster learning, empower individuals, and build strong community connections. With a diverse range of artistic activities and programs, we aim to empower children, encourage self-expression, and enhance their overall well-being. By participating in this remarkable run/walk, you are directly contributing to our ongoing mission. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the children of Chesapeake and Hampton Roads.

Prepare for the thrill of victory as we award medals to the top three participants in each age group. On top of that, participants that register will receive a fabulous t-shirt, goody bag, and refreshing fruit.

But the excitement doesn't end there! Kids will have a blast engaging in a one mile FUN RUN and entertaining crafts, while everyone can anticipate the chance to win fantastic door prizes donated by local small businesses. 

Furthermore, we will provide valuable information on community resources available in Hampton Roads for Children's Mental Health, giving you the knowledge to make a lasting difference.

Online registration will close on 4/20/24, but fear not! If you miss the deadline, you can still sign up in person until April 27th, 2024 at noon  at Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center of Chesapeake, located at 729 S Battlefield Blvd Chesapeake VA 23322. Alternatively, you can register on race day between 8:00am-8:15am.

Please keep in mind that if you register on the day of the event, the cost will be $40 cash only, and there is a possibility that race shirts may not be available. So, act swiftly to ensure your participation in this extraordinary event while securing your exclusive race shirt. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to be part of an unforgettable experience!

Race packets will be available for pickup April 25-27th from 12-6pm from Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center.

Packets MUST be picked up prior to race day.

Proceeds will go to support our community outreach programs (ie: Military Child Celebration, Painting Pumpkins with Police, First Responder Summer Camp, First Responder Breakfast with Santa), the summer creative arts programs and the Gnomes on the Roam Art Enrichment program at Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center of Chesapeake -a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to use creative arts as a springboard for creative thought, educational growth, personal development, and social cohesion.
