Rock Out Cancer Rockin' 5K, 15 Aug Race Description
August 15th, 2026
The 12th annual Rock Out Cancer – Rockin 5K Run/Walk benefiting the OU Stephenson Cancer Center. This event combines exercise with a "rockin" good time! All participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite rockstar! Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the 5K and best costume. ROCK ON!
After the race, come on over to The Landing Zone where the Festivities continue! 8 Bands! Silent auction, fantastic food, fun, and music!
All donations and proceeds support the OU Stephenson Cancer Center, The Stephenson Cancer Center is home to investigators working in the areas of basic, translational, clinical, behavioral, and population-based cancer research.. Thank you for being part of the solution!

Timeline:
7:30 AM-8:30 AM: Participant Check-In
8:45AM: Opening Ceremony
9:00AM: Runners Begin
Parking and Check In: Parking and Check-in at the Landing Zone parking lot.
8720 SE 15th St, Midwest City, OK 73110
The race will start near the south side entrance of Regional Park at SE 15th St and Century Blvd.
What to Wear: All participants are encouraged to dress like their favorite rockstar! Please make sure all costumes are family friendly. Don't forget to wear athletic shoes - even rockstars need to be comfortable.
What to Bring: ID and/or confirmation email (electronic version accepted)
T-Shirts: All participants will receive an event T- Shirt.
Prizes: Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 5K and Best Costume!

The Stephenson Cancer Center took excellent care of my daughter from the time she was admitted to when she passed away. I have nothing bad to say about them. The MA’s, nurses (thank you Fifi and Cindy) and doctors were amazing. I was looking forward to this race. I dressed up like a rock star, hand knitted leg warmers, etc. The race was poorly organized. One guy pointed me in the wrong direction, there were not enough signs and the guys on the bicycles pointed me in the right direction, but they didn’t see to it that I made it back. Thanks to my family I found my way back. All of the people who were conducting the event were gone. The race started at 0800 and a found my way back around 1030. I was looking forward to the costume contest. I was dressed in lime green (non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma color, so I stood out. There were not any other people there with elaborate costumes like mine.
