2026 Butterfly Run / Walk

Butterfly Run/Walk – June 20, 2026

Put on your best butterfly costume and join us for a scenic 5K Run/Walk along the Umpqua River in Elkton.

Early Bird registration is $30 through May 31. Beginning June 1, registration increases to $35.

(Kids 12 and under participate for a discounted price of $15. What do you think about adding this, most kids don't have discounts in other races and I think this is fair)

 Every registered runner will receive an event shirt.

Run or walk at your own pace then stay to enjoy lunch, the Blooms & Butterflies Festival and the butterfly costume contest.

Race Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the overall fastest male and female runners and to the fastest male and female in each age group:

12 and under

13–19

20–29

30–39

40–49

50–59

60+

Awards will be presented during the butterfly costume contest at approximately 11:15 AM. (I kept the time the same as last year for now until we confirm the schedule)

The Butterfly Run is organized through ECEC’s Wellness Initiative. (I left this wording the same as last year for now but wanted to confirm whether we would prefer it to simply say that the race is hosted by ECEC)

Participants and visitors are invited to enjoy free kids’ activities, live music, craft vendors, information booths, food and tours of the Butterfly Pavilion and Fort Umpqua throughout the day. Join us for a full day of festivities and help kick off the season at ECEC.
