2024 5th Annual TJ Memorial 5K Run/Walk

Join us for the 5th Annual TJ Memorial 5K Run/Walk on October 19th! This beloved community event honors the memory of Todd Jewell, a cherished Richmond County resident, avid cyclist, and runner. Todd's Saturday morning runs through the streets of Warsaw were a familiar sight, and his legacy lives on through this race. He and his wife, Dawn, have three sons—Josh, Matthew, and Jacob—who all attended Richmond County Public Schools, participated in sports, and actively contributed to the community.

The Jewell family has turned this tragedy into a beautiful opportunity to support the community he loved. Since the inaugural race in 2020, thanks to the generous support of participants, donors, and sponsors, we've awarded 15 scholarships to Rappahannock High School students and contributed to the Richmond County Public Schools Red Track Fund, helping pave the new track at Rappahannock High School.

• 2020: The inaugural race proceeds were donated to the Richmond County Public Schools Red Track Fund in Todd's honor. The newly-paved track, completed in 2021, is now a resource for Rappahannock students and the community.

• 2021: The second annual race helped establish the Rappahannock High School Scholarship Fund, providing 6 scholarships to deserving students.

• 2022: The third annual race supported the TJ Memorial Scholarships and the RC Education Foundation, awarding 5 scholarships to Rappahannock students.

• 2023: The fourth annual race continued this tradition, resulting in 3 scholarships for Rappahannock students.
