1st Annual Santa Scholarship 5k and Fun Run Race Description
Come join in a Christmas celebration around the world! The first annual Global Health Collaboration Missions Scholarship Santa 5K and fun run will begin at the corner of Walnut and Mobile St. in Downtown Florence, Alabama.This race will raise money for the Global Health Collaboration's Missions Scholarship which enables volunteers to serve in the most underserved areas of the world in a variety of services including medical, educational, outreach, and other needs.
Registration will include your Santa Swag (pants, coat, hat, beard, and belt) for the race, event t-shirt, race tag, and milk and cookies for all finishing Santas! Activities in the open lot will include aChristmas festival with a journey through Christmas traditions around the world sponsored by the UNA Office of International Affairs and special appearances and photo opportunities with Santa and The Grinch provided by Santa Land! Come out and join in the family friendly festivities for a global cause.
Day of Registration begins at 7:00am and the 5K will begin promptly at 8:00am. The fun run will begin approximately 10 minutes after the last 5K runner crosses the finish line.
Pre-registration: $35 includes Santa Swag (pants, coat, hat, beard, and belt), event t-shirt, race tag, and milk and cookies at the finish line.
Day of Registration: $40 includes Santa Swag, event t-shirt, race tag, and milk and cookies
Fun Run Registration: $15 includes event t-shirt
Packet Pick up for all pre-registrants will be at First Friday's in downtown Florence on December 6th.

A hilly walk but, it was nice. You all assume plus size people won't participate. Therefore; shirts only went to a large. Only 1 water station and that was at the beginning of the activity. It state pre-registration $35 showing no deadline date, but I still paid $40 because that was the only option online. When asked about the $35, they states if paid by sometime in November. I saw that no where on the site. Only $40 if paid day of. Advertisement must have been horrible. With you all having a university in the city, I thought it would be more people. I would have rather had a medal for my 5k accomplishment, rather than a suit
