Please join us in beautiful Perham, MN for the 17th Annual Average Jo Triathlon.
Course Description:
Swim - .5K (1/3 mile): Starting at the public beach near the entrance to Paul Miller park, athletes will do a clockwise slightly rectangle swim in Little Pine Lake that finishes on the beach. Average water temperature for late June is low to mid-50s, but can be colder depending on the weather leading up to race day. Water depth is approximately 8 feet deep. Spectators can view the race from several locations on the Paul Miller Park shoreline. Life guards will be available and the course will be marked.
Bike - 20K (12.5 miles): Bike along the scenic lakes area of Ottertail County. Enjoy lake views, sprawling pastures, and low traffic. The route is a challenging lollipop, with rolling terrain that includes a couple of climbs.
Run - 6K (3.8 miles): Leave Paul Miller park and run along beautiful Lakeside golf course and Arvig park in North Perham. The course features a paved bike trail that is off the road and lots of spectator support! There will be aid stations at approximately every mile with water and other snacks as well.
