Families like precious Bella who at 6 weeks underwent open heart surgery to repair a birth defect... Brody who at 3 years old underwent his second and successful open heart surgery, also to repair a birth defect and has since been removed from the transplant list... Kash, 14, who smiles through a year long chemo regimen for the treatment of cancer...Matti,5, who recently underwent a surgery to disconnect one half of her brain to fight debilitating epilepsy and is facing a long road to recovery… And the family of Colby Hodges, our inspiring Wildcat Warrior, whose family we were able to assist with financial costs for his final rest after a brave battle with cancer.
Your continued support of Wildcat Warrior will enable us to continue assisting local families in need. There are many ways you can support:
* Financial donations such as cash or gift cards that can be used for daily living expenses, mortgage, utility, and medical expenses not covered by insurance
* Business partnerships for in kind services such as home repairs or remodeling, vehicle repairs, hotel stays
* Volunteer at events or as a Wildcat Warrior caregiver for a family – providing meals, sitting or cleaning services
* Collect and donate items for gift baskets for a family's hospital stay
Again, thank you! Your support makes all of this possible.
Great event, and for a great cause! I agree with the comments already posted about having everyone (Runners/Walkers) begin at same time. I think the Start/Finish & parking at BCHS works well. Would like to see a different route with some going through nearby neighborhoods, but know there are more logistics behind that happening with Sheriff's Office, etc. I'd be glad to assist with a new route if wanted to change. Hope to make this event every year, so lets keep it going! : )
Great race!. Had a great time for a good cause!
The event is truly a worthy cause. It’s founded to help our community. The only suggestion I have is go back to how the run was organized last year. Don’t have the walkers wait 45 minutes for all runners to return us with children didn’t prepare for that. As a community we should all walk/run together so the community support is shown in abundance. Having the runners go ahead but not everyone else stay behind and then go a total different course that’s not how a 5K should be. Much love
Thank you for continuing to support the cause. Next year I’d like to see the course moved back to 90 as it was last year. For safety reasons have runners start 5 minutes ahead then the walkers then anyone with strollers 5 minutes later not everyone have to wait for the runners to come back to start. It killed the momentum and the community feeling that everyone came out to show so they could all be on the same course together.
