Wendell 5K Color Run & Bubble Block Walk

Join us for some BUBBLE and COLOR 5k RUN FUN in Wendell, Minnesota on Saturday, July 14, 2018! This takes place during the Wendell Days Softball events, so pull up a lawn chair for the day because watching the softball tournament is completely free. 

Check-in for the BUBBLE BLOCK Walk/Run and COLOR 5k Walk/RUN begins at 6:45am-7:45am at the Wendell Water Tower (trust us, you'll see it in the sky!). Free parking is available near the water tower, at the local community center where the Wendell electronic billboard is located, and throughout downtown Wendell.

The BUBBLE BLOCK Walk/Run will kick off our events at 8am. This is a one-block walk/run/stroll through beautiful, magical bubbles! It is to be enjoyed by all ages, especially children and those in strollers. This event is FREE to children ages 10 and under with a responsible, paying event partaker to chaperone them.  We just ask that folks with strollers start up from the rear so our faster runners/walkers can cruise ahead. Ages 11 and up, the cost is just $5. Funds go to Redwood 4-H educational programming and community improvement projects!

The Wendell COLOR 5k RUN/WALK FUN shall immediately follow, about 8:15am. Walkers are also welcome, just please begin from the back if you plan to walk. Race will be untimed, staggered start depending on number of participants. Get ready for all kinds of COLOR! Those who register online for the COLOR 5k by June 25 will receive a complimentary white logoed t-shirt so they can get an awesome color explosion! (We will do our best to ensure t-shirts to those registered after that date, however cannot guarantee due to shirt order deadline.) Bring glasses if needed!

We recommend covering your cameras or phones in plastic if you must bring them. Bring a towel for after the race for your vehicle to sit on. Color is non-toxic, made in USA, cornstarch based. More info, rules and REGISTRATION on www.WendellColorRun.com

RULES AND SAFETY:

We have just a few rules to ensure that everyone has an AWESOME COLOR RUN and BUBBLE BLOCK experience. 

-No alcohol/smoking is allowed during the event. 

-If you are running with a stroller, please start at the back of the pack. 

-Be courteous to and aware of other runners. 

-If you are running with small children, please watch and direct them through the race. 

-If you are concerned at all with any part of the Color experience, feel free to wear safety glasses, a bandana, or a dust mask. 

-Please follow the directions provided by race officials and volunteers.

-Above all, respect everyone around you and have FUN.

Area camping is available at Lightning Lake Park, Wendell, MN and Niemackl Lake Park, Herman. Area hotels/motels in Elbow Lake, MN, Fergus Falls, MN, and Morris, MN.

Parking areas will be posted -- arrival is at the Wendell Water Tower, near 500 Grant Street, Wendell MN 56590 (crossing of Grant Street and Soo Avenue)

Event bags will be available at check-in at the Wendell Water Tower. Bring your confirmation email or check-in electronically by saving your confirmation message.
