Warrior Trail Runs Race Description
As a fundraiser for the Ruidoso Warrior Cross Country team, we invite you to The Warrior Trail Runs. This trail run will be a 2 mile and 5K race in the backwoods of Ruidoso High School.
Proceeds benefit The Ruidoso Warrior Cross Country team.
The race will start and finish on the Ruidoso High School football field.
2 Miler: starts @ 7:30 a.m.
- Walk/run
- Medals will be awarded to top Male and Female overall, and top 3 (male/female) in age groups 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
5K: starts @ 8:00 a.m.
- RUN (no walkers)
- Medals will be awarded to top Male and Female overall, and top 3 (male/female) in age groups 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Didn't quite make transition from XC to trail race. Course too convoluted and guide kids on course giving wrong directions. The utility line flags too small and dim. Use yellow construction tape generously and white marking for arrows on ground. I thought it was my 78 yr old brain and legs, but much younger runners also lost/confused. Nevertheless, a good start-I'll be back next yr (God willing) to see the improvements.
