Walk A Mile In My Shoes - Mother Daughter 5K

Mother Daughter 5K is a part of a bigger event called GLAM-A-GIRL Weekend! GLAM-A-GIRL means Giving Life, Love And Memories to A Girl!

This walk is important because it heightens the awareness of the importance of parental involvement in their daughter’s life. Mother Daughter 5k provides opportunities for mothers and daughters to share time together and create fun memories. It also allows them to support each other’s healthy habits.

GLAM-A-GIRL Weekend empowers women and girls to learn from each other and grow together in order to build better lifestyles that will positively impact our communities.

Studies show many positive impacts of parental involvement. Some impacts include an increase in positive self-esteem, a decrease in high school dropouts, decrease in teen pregnancy and even an increase in employment rates.

It’s HOYAS’ goal to promote opportunities that cultivate the positive development of our communities. We are looking forward to the event and we hope to see you there! All donations are used to support families in and around the Holmes County areas!

Registration Rules!

• To register, each 5k walkers must pay $5 fee and donate one of the following items: baby pampers, baby wipes, adult diapers, adult wipes, women's deodorant, feminine pads or toothbrushes/toothpaste!
  

• Teams must consist of at least 2 people to qualify for prize package!

• The first Mother and Daughter(s) walkers to finish together will be considered the 5k winners! Mother and daughter(s) must finish together to win prize!

• If you walk less than 5k you will NOT qualify for the prize package!

• All expense paid prize package  includes gift certificates to

   - $30 gift cards to Red Lobster

   - 4 Malco Movie Tickets

   - and 2 Massage and 2 facials to Spa Envy*
  
  

• Children 7 and under walk for free! They DO NOT qualify for the prize!
  

• No refunds!

*(Parent/guardian 18 or older must be present during massage for children between the ages of 8-17 years old)!
