Virtual 5k Your Way Race Description
In response to the closings of Tuscaloosa schools, Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama and YMCA-Tuscaloosa have opened to serve healthcare, government, public safety and other essential workers.
We need your help in providing this crucial service to our community by participating in our 5K Your Way event.
There is no wrong way to participate! The only requirement is to complete the 5K and have fun doing it, while helping local kids during this critical time. You have two weeks, May 2—17.
You decide your route and your method (run, walk, skate, hop) and document with a photo on social media. We will have Facebook frames to use once the event starts on May 2!
We also encourage you to don a costume, wear your school colors, show off some crazy socks or dedicate your 5K to your hero.
This is truly a 5K your way, so get creative.
You can do your 5K all at once or a little at a time over the 2 weeks.
