Vegas Color Rock Trail Marathon Race Description

The Vegas Color Rock Trail Races take place along the Bitter Springs Backcountry Scenic Byway. The Bitter Springs Backcountry Byway takes you back in time to the pioneering days of the wild west! The Byway crosses an ancient and deserted track, the Old Spanish Trail first traveled by Spanish explorers in 1776. The Byway continues on into the colorful and mysterious Muddy Mountains, land of mystical desert mountain-scape, an historic wagon road, extraordinary rock formations, an intermittent spring, hidden valleys, a primitive dam, bighorn sheep and wild horses.
