Tuppers Plains Volunteer Fire Department 5K Run/Walk Race Description

Tuppers Plains Volunteer Fire Department is proud to present our fifth annual 5K run/walk and firefighter challenge walk on Saturday October 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM.  Firefighters are welcome to compete in our firefighter challenge - walking the 5k in full gear (Junior firefighters are not required to wear SCBA pack)!  Comfortable shoes recommended - fire boots not required!  Race will begin and end at Tuppers Plains Volunteer Fire Station.  Registration will begin at 8:30 AM.  Questions??  Please call Collette Johnson at 330-715-1319 or email tpfiredepartment@yahoo.com.

The organizers were very friendly in person, and quite responsive when I contacted them prior to the race! They had water and fruit for after the race. The t-shirts are cool, and winners received a nice beer glass. The route was not well marked, but I think their signs were ruined by the rain? I was fortunate a fellow runner guided me. I highly recommend this race for two reasons: the people are very nice and the fire department needs the money! They work hard to keep people safe — help them help others!
