Thomas Wolfe 8K 2025 Race Description
The Thomas Wolfe 8K in Asheville is Asheville's oldest and most prestigious running event and is celebrating its 48th year in 2025! First run in 1976, this beautiful autumn run/walk highlights many of Asheville's historic sites!
Starting at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial House, runners continue to run past author Thomas Wolfe's final resting place in Riverside Cemetery. Come on out and see why the Thomas Wolfe 8k in Asheville has become a deeply rooted Western North Carolina tradition.
Most importantly, this running event helps support Asheville's READ TO SUCCEED. In 2021, we were able to raise over $1000 for this amazing organization!! A discount of $5 will be automatically calculated at check out for runners 17 and under or 65 and over. Packet Pick Up Locations
All runners receive a custom Thomas Wolfe 8k t-shirt, custom race bib, “Beer on us” from local brewery and a chip timed event.
