The Rock & Comet 12k/5k is an awesome course traveling along one of the most scenic sections of the Silver Comet Trail, with the 12k taking you through the spectacular 800-foot long Brushy Mountain Tunnel!

Scenic race, easy course

I've never been to this part of Georgia and it was fun to run this part of the Silver Comet Trail! This year I did the 5k, but next year I will do the 12k so I can see the tunnel. I am a very slow runner and usually finish last, but I always feel welcome at the Greater Atlanta Athlete races! I signed up for the whole series this year and each one is so fun! Thank you Race Director Paul and all the wonderful volunteers who make these events great.
