The Lucky Dog Walk for Recovery Race Description

Bring your two-legged and four-legged friends and meet us at The Stone Summit located at 2801 George Busbee Pkwy, Kennesaw, October 12th at 8:00 am (registration 7:00 am) for The Lucky Dog Walk For Recovery. Enjoy a 5k walk along the Noonday Creek trail to raise awareness in our community about addiction and homelessness and to show support for those in recovery. Then, meet us back at The Stone Summit for great music, food, and prizes!

Many years ago, Lucky the dog was given to us by a volunteer in need of love and a home. Our residents took him in and for many years he lived at our men's campus giving out snuggles, unconditional love, and a listening ear. Lucky was indeed a "lucky dog" because he was well cared for and loved by our residents, volunteers and staff. We named our softball team "The Lucky Dogs" in his honor and Lucky Dog has since become the unofficial mascot for The Extension showing up in costume for softball games and various events. This year, we continue to honor the memory of Lucky Dog by hosting our second annual Lucky Dog Walk For Recovery.
