Season's Greetings! Welcome to this years annual Resolution Run and end of year SCUM Bag New Year Bash! We welcome all to this years festival of races to celebrate the beginning of a new year and to say good riddance to the current one! Resolution Run Ultra is a timed race on a 1 mile looped course. All races will end at the same time promptly at 7pm. The race will be supported with one Aid Station but will be Self Timed and Recorded. We ask that you bring a "unique" cup/mug that you will use to place rocks in as you complete your 1 Mile laps around the park.

All club memberships to the Upstate Running Club and/or the South Carolina Ultra Marathon Club fund the Upstate Running Club Youth Team with over 200 members. The club provides FREE training services, training equipment, race uniforms, and comped race entries to our series throughout the year. All donations directly fund the club to help cover the costs of facility rentals, insurance, post practice snacks, team socials, and awards! The program is comprised of athletes of all abilities from ages 6-12 years old

Packet Pickup: 1 Hour Prior to your race start time near starting line

 

Age group winners will be recognized in the results tab and our point series.

Race Details

 

5k Run Event starts at 9am

 

12 Hour Event starts at 7am

 

6 Hour Event starts at 1pm

 

3 Hour Events starts at 4pm

 

 

Course Description

 

Course Map - Consists of a 1 Mile Loop. The course is a paved loop with less than 15 feet of elevation per mile

Timed runners will perform as many full complete laps in the allotted time frame5k Runners will will run a short segment around the soccer fields before running 3 full laps.

Sunset Park - 11 Fowler Circle Greenville SC 29607. From here you will be able to pull your car right up to the race course adjacent to the large double sized football field. 

 

 

Timing 

This is a self timed event so we ask that you bring a UNIQUE mug/cup to place a small stone in every lap. At the end of the event we will have your name through our registration file that you can place how many laps you completed. There are plenty of parking spaces available near the start/stop loop and ample space to set up a personal pop up tent, aid stop if you wish along the course.

The 5k race will be manually timed with a gun start results so please be on time for accurate results. 

 

Personal Tent Set Up

 

Athletes are permitted to have a drop bag or personal tent near the aid station. Please be mindful to place your personal belongings off the course as to not impede the runners, the flow of traffic, or other race participants. The start and finish line loop will serve as the official drop bag area designation. When you are finished with your race please "pack in and pack out" making the host facility look better than you found it.

 

 

Aid Stations

There is 1 aid station on course during the 1 mile loop. Items may include: pickles, cookies, chips, Little Debbie snacks, assorted candy, chicken/veggie broth, fig newtons, & pretzels. Liquids will include water, Tailwind Nutrition, coke, and ginger ale. If you would like to donate an aid station supply of something that we do not offer or that is homemade feel free! 

Cup-less Event: Please provide your own hydration vessel for use at our aid stations
