Taking Steps Against Cancer Virtual 5K

Can you imagine hearing the words “you have cancer?” Sadly, families hear this over 1150 times per year in McLennan County. That’s right, every year over 1150 new cancer cases are diagnosed in our area. It could be a mom, dad, son, daughter, relative or family friend get this news. Community Cancer Association is located in Waco and helps these cancer patients with direct services. We pay for prescriptions for those who cannot afford them. We pay for medically necessary supplies for those who need them. We pay for gas for those patients that need assistance getting to their cancer treatment. We help that mom, dad, son, daughter, relative or family friend through their journey with this terrible disease.

Our mission is simple. Cancer affects everyone, either medically, emotionally or financially. Community Cancer Association exists to provide tangible and measurable support for local cancer patients and their family’s financial burden so that they can focus on the medical and emotional impact of the disease.
