I jokingly tell folks that this is the worst course for the BEST cause, which is why I have not missed a year since it started, and God willing, will continue. In actuality, it's not the worst course ever, but that hill near the end reminds you what commitment and sacrifice are all about. And nothing could be more fitting for a race that honors our Veterans, our Heroes. They made a commitment and far too many sacrificed all. Come join us. You'll be glad you did.
Everything about this race is amazing. The half marathon course has challenging spots but is not a beast. The mission it serves is exemplary. The organization is strong and makes participation hassle-free. The bling is beautiful and it is an honor to live in the community that supports it. I enjoyed the route the first year better than the last 3 but am proud to say I have, and will continue to, participate every year. Great job Scott, Florence and everyone who contributed in any way!
This was my first year running the Honor Run 5K. Great event. Looking forward to next year.
