Special Forces Association Chapter 7 Jingle Bell Jog

2024 marks the 46th year the Special Forces Association, Chapter 7 has held its Annual Jingle Bell Jog 10k/5k running race. This year also marks the 13th year the event will be held in Northwest Florida.

In addition to our 5k run, 5K walk and 10k run, there will be a Kid's 1/2 Mile Fun Run immediately after the completion of the 5k. Kid's must be pre-registered for this event.

We will have awards for the Best Christmas Costume so come dressed to impress!

*This year's event will be held at the Island Hotel on Okaloosa Island, on Dec 7th with an 8am start.

Registration:

Early registration through November 15- 5K $25.99, 10K $30.99

Late Registration from November 16-December 7th; 5K $35.99, 10K $40.99

Kids Fun Run through December 7th; $5.00 and $10.00 For the day of race 

(NO SHIRT INCLUDED WITH THIS REGISTRATION)

*Registration for this event will close at 7AM on December 7th; there will be no exceptions

Packet Pick up:

Early Early Packet Pick Up- Dec 5th 11AM-1PM at the Shoppete & Subway on Camp Bull Simons. (DoD ID Card Required for base access)

Early Packet Pickup- Friday, Dec 6th 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Island Resort Hotel lobby.

We highly encourage you to pickup your packet early to avoid long lines on race day.

Day of Race Packet Pickup will be from 6:00-7:30am. Please arrive early if you need to pickup your packet on race day.

AWARDS:

10K Finishers ALL get a Jingle Bell Jog Finisher's Medal!

5K Run: For Males and Females: 1st-3rd Overall, Age groups 1st-3rd- 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29,30-39, 40-49, 

50-59, 60-69 and 70-74, 75-79, 80+

5K Walk: For Males and Females: 1st-3rd Overall

10K Run: For Males and Females: 1st-3rd Overall, 1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters.

Kid's Fun Run: Start upon completion of the 5K

Every kid finisher gets a custom dog tag medal! (limit 100 participants)

ALL awards are based on gun time. So if you are in the hunt for an award, start near the front.

Start/Finish will be at the Island Resort Hotel. 

Race Details:

The out and back 5K & 10K courses are beautiful, flat and fast along Highway 98.  With magnificent views of the gulf and the bay. Both races will start on Hwy. 98 in front of the Island Resort, Fort Walton Beach.  The races will have a staggered shotgun start.  10K runners first, then 5K runners and finally 5K walkers.  Runners will proceed East on 98 to appropriate turn around point.  

Finish will be on Southeast side of the Island Resort.  (see map)

Due to insurance restrictions, dogs are NOT allowed in or at the race. Strollers ARE allowed, but we ask that you please start at the back of the race to lessen the risk of accidents at the start.

Kids ½ mile Fun Run- Kids run is only for fun and not timed.  Start/ Finish is on the southeast side of the Island Resort (see map).

Please note: Guest’s need to contact the group housing coordinator directly, if they want to extend their stay or book different room types outside of the group block (which is subject to availability and rate). Reservations needed after the cutoff date must be booked directly through group housing. The group rate after cutoff is not guaranteed, and is subject to current availability
