Seniors Miles for Miracles

The Senior class at Oran High School decided to participate in a community service project. As we thought about what we should do, we came up with the idea of a 5k and 1 mile Fun Run. That was the easy part; we then had to decide where the proceeds would go. We wanted the charity to be local and to also make a difference in our community. After looking at different charities, we decided to go with the Semo Can-cer Vice Cancer Foundation. We chose this foundation because we’ve seen how they have helped people locally. They help many more than just those in the town of Oran. They are also open to the entire SEMO area, allowing people to get treatment that they need. They want to do as much as they can to PAY IT FORWARD. As Marty said, “I could let this define me, but I’m going to rock and roll with it.”
