Running Brave- The Race to end Suicide Description
With suicide being the 10th leading cause of death in the United States and taking the lives of more than 38,000 Americans every year the race is on to do all we can to support our community's mental health.
Join us in this annual 1 mile fun run/walk, 5K & 10K events in which 100% of the proceeds raised go to supporting the local American Foundation for Suicide Prevention chapter.
Help raise community awareness to prevent suicide and end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
Race registration includes

- Prizes for top finishers in each race
-Access to pre-race and post-race activities such as:
- Music
- Speakers on mental health and there personal journeys
- Local vendor and information booths

Great course in and around the Sundial Bridge and Sacramento River. Awesome cause to raise money for. Inaugural race is bound to have some hiccups but the organizers have a lot to learn. Not enough volunteers for course direction and turn around points. Atmosphere lacked a cohesive vibe. Lack of aggressive advertising equated to a very low turnout. And they broke the cardinal rule: you never change race times to be earlier.
