Run From The Sun Melanoma Awareness 5k/10k Race Description

Thanks for joining the Run From The Sun 5k/10k run/walk to help spread the word on melanoma and skin cancer awareness.  This years event be on Saturday August 10th with check in and registration will start on at 7:30 a.m. and the race will begin at 9:00 a.m. The race begins and ends at the Mabel Community Center. There will be free skin screenings by several local doctors, sun screen, and a Lions Club Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 10:30, and of course our free famous bloody mary bar and also serving ice cold summer shandy. Plus there will be free face painting for all kids. Participants registered before August 5th pay $25 and will receive a free T-shirt. Also new this year we will be doing free eye exams for any 6 months or older with new hand held device the Mabel Lions Club purchased. After August 5th there is no guarantee to get a shirt.
