Rock to Rock Earth Day Bike Ride Race Description
This is not a race. It's a community bike ride, New Haven's largest celebration of Earth Day. All rides begin and end in East Rock Park. You can choose from the following routes: 1-mile, 8-mile family ride, 12-mile, 20-mile, 40-mile, metric century, plus hikes in East Rock and West Rock Parks.
Rock to Rock supports 20+ local nonprofits doing environmental work. We encourage all participants to engage in peer-to-peer fundraising for one or more of the nonprofit partners listed on the Rock to Rock website at https://www.rocktorock.org/partnerorganizations. Rock to Rock is one of my favorite New Haven traditions! I helped organize it for a long time, but stepped back in 2021. The folx who kept the ride going are AMAZING, and the event was so sweet (and safe) in the midst of COVID. Great plan for staggered starts, lots of options for riding and walking, etc.
