Robert Templeton Memorial 5K and Fun Run Race Description
Robert Templeton started Glencoe Community Church of God in his home on January 28, 1963, then moved to Glencoe location in 1964. After the Glencoe location flooded in both Dec 2015 and April of 2017 the church decided to relocate. With the money raised from this event we are going to continue on his vision for the church. The 5k proceeds will assist purchase of the new location 4618 HWY NN Catawissa Mo.
Robert dedicated his life to God and his family, which included his church family. He was a great Pastor, leader, guide, teacher, friend, father and Spiritual Hero! His infinite wisdom of God’s word was a great inspiration to many. He truly loved and cared for his church and family and was a great example of God’s boundless love to all. Although he has passed on he will forever be remembered by the thousands of people whom he has touched by his example and his ministry.
