RM3 is a Charity Bike Ride in Waxhaw NC for the benefit of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Bicycle Awareness. The ride honors the memory of Robb McNaughton and Stacy Stranick
Stacy lost her father to complications due to non Hodgkins Lymphoma the same cancer that took Robb's life. Stacy was actively involved in the promotion and development of the first RM3. She was committed to making RM3 a success our inaugural year and pledged to help even more in years to come. Stacy was tragically killed by an inattentive motorist in 2018 weeks after riding in RM3. Stacy was a ray of sunshine who loved her husband, family and her cycling community. We will honor Stacy with a section of the ride called Stacy's Sprint. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit Bicycle Advocacy.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) has announced an upcoming charity bike ride in association with RM3 Ride. A charity fitness ride – RM3 Ride – will raise money to help those who are battling Blood Cancers.
There is a huge need to help cancer patients to receive benefits and funding through their most difficult health challenge. Simple financial resource assistance is a huge concern for many cancer patients and LLS is there to help.
Fortunately, with fundraisers like RM3 Ride LLS is able to supplement many services including research in many life saving programs.
RM3 is preparing for its second annual event this year,” stated James Allison, founder of the Ride and the best friend of Robb McNaughton III (RM3), who is a cancer victim and the namesake of RM3. He shared that “Everyone knows someone who is effected by cancer. But it is only when I lost someone very close to me that I decided to stand up and make a difference. I may only make a small difference but every small amount adds up to the lives of someone diagnosed with cancer and I plan to make every effort to end all blood cancers”.
