Red Raider Road Race - Lubbock

If you want to see the beauty of a well-designed, planned university campus (including many of the landmarks on campus) while enjoying a flat, fast, course at a well-supported, nicely organized event, this is it. The only things that could make it better are: 1. if I were faster and 2. if the Goin Band from Raider Land were to put on a performance during the run. From Raider Red firing his famous gun to start the race to the cool shirt and refreshments at the finish, and all the miles in between, this is an event to enjoy all with the added benefit of knowing proceeds help to give scholarship rather than fattening corporate pockets. Unsure? Give it a try. I'm betting you will be glad you did. It is worth the 200 mile drive for me.
